High-temperature halogen-free cable – reliability and safety
This black, three-core HELUTHERM® 145 MULTI 3G1.5 mm² cable is an advanced solution for applications requiring high thermal resistance and fire safety. The cable is designed for installations in places exposed to extreme temperatures, and its halogen-free construction minimizes the risk of toxic gas formation in the event of a fire. Core identification according to DIN VDE 0293-308 simplifies installation and subsequent servicing.
Construction and properties
The cable is characterized by a solid construction, using flexible, multi-wire copper cores of class 5. The core insulation is made of cross-linked polyolefin copolymer, which provides excellent dielectric and mechanical strength. The cores are twisted in parallel and separated by a separating film, and the whole is covered with an outer jacket made of electron-beam cross-linked and halogen-free polyolefin copolymer. The outer diameter of the cable is approximately 8.3 mm.
It is worth noting the wide range of operating temperatures – from -55°C to +145°C (for stationary installation), and even briefly up to +250°C. This makes the cable perfect for demanding industrial conditions and in installations exposed to high temperatures, e.g. in the wiring of lighting fixtures or heating devices. Additionally, the cable is resistant to weathering, moisture, ozone and UV radiation, which allows its use in outdoor installations and street lighting.
Applications and benefits
The HELUTHERM® 145 MULTI 3G1.5 mm² cable finds wide application in:
- Wiring of lighting fixtures
- Heating devices
- Electric machines (thermal class B)
- Distribution boards
- Machine and installation construction
- Street lighting
- Outdoor installations
- Safety installations
Benefits of use:
- Fire safety: Halogen-free construction limits the emission of toxic gases during a fire, increasing the safety of people and property.
- High thermal resistance: Enables operation at extreme temperatures (up to +145°C), which translates into the reliability of the installation.
- Resistance to external factors: Ensures long-term operation in difficult atmospheric and industrial conditions.
- Flexibility: Multi-wire core construction makes installation and routing of cables in tight spaces easier.
- Compliance with standards: Meets safety and quality standards (including IEC 60332-1-2).
- UV resistance: Ensures long-term outdoor operation without loss of insulation properties.
This cable is an investment in a safe and reliable electrical installation that will meet the expectations of both professional installers and end users.
