Flexible halogen-free control cable – safety and reliability
JZ-500 HMH 10G1 cable is a flexible control cable designed for demanding industrial applications. It is characterized by high fire resistance and resistance to external factors, making it an ideal choice for installations in places with increased risk. Made of high-quality materials, it ensures reliable operation and long service life.
Construction and application
This cable consists of 10 copper strands, twisted into a rope, which gives it high flexibility and resistance to bending. The strands are insulated with a halogen-free TI6 mixture, and the entire cable is surrounded by a gray (RAL 7001) coating made of TM7 mixture, also halogen-free. This means that in the event of a fire, the cable emits a minimal amount of smoke and toxic gases – important for the safety of people and equipment. The cable is intended for use as a measuring, control and steering cable in mechanical engineering, conveyors, technological lines, as well as in the construction of installations, metallurgy and steelworks. It can be used in both fixed and occasionally movable installations.
Key features and benefits
- Halogen-free: Ensures safety in the event of a fire by minimizing the emission of toxic gases. This is particularly important in enclosed spaces or where high fire safety standards are required.
- Flexibility: Construction with multi-wire strands class 5 (according to VDE 0295) guarantees easy installation and adaptation to complex installation systems.
- Wide temperature range: The cable maintains its properties over a wide temperature range – from -40°C to +70°C (during installation from -15°C to +70°C), which allows it to be used in various environmental conditions.
- Radiation resistance: Radiation resistance up to 100 x 10⁶ cJ/kg (100 Mrad) expands the range of possible cable applications.
- Durable construction: Un-tinned copper strands provide good electrical conductivity and corrosion resistance.
- Wire marking: Black wires with white numbers make it easier to identify individual wires during installation and maintenance.
- Compliance with standards: The cable meets the requirements of the Low Voltage Directive 2014/35/EU (CE marking).
Additional tests confirm its properties: self-extinguishing, flame retardancy, corrosiveness of fire gases and halogen-free – all in accordance with applicable DIN VDE, DIN EN and IEC standards. The cable, metered, makes it easy to precisely adjust the length to the needs of a specific application.
