Halogen-free control cable – reliability and safety of installation

This flexible control cable JZ-500 HMH 12G1.5 is a solution designed for demanding industrial applications and electrical installations. It is characterized by high fire resistance and resistance to external factors, ensuring safety and long-term reliability. This cable is ideal for applications where minimizing smoke emission and the absence of toxic gases in the event of a fire is crucial.

Construction and properties

The JZ-500 HMH cable consists of 12 copper conductors with a cross-section of 1.5 mm², which are twisted together for increased flexibility. Each conductor is insulated with a halogen-free TI6 mixture, which ensures a high level of safety in the event of a fire. The conductors are marked with white numbers for easy identification, and from 3 conductors there is also a yellow-green protective conductor. The whole is surrounded by a halogen-free outer coating made of TM7 mixture in gray color (RAL 7001). Such construction guarantees not only safety, but also resistance to mechanical damage and atmospheric factors.

• Halogen-free: Materials used in production do not contain halogen, which minimizes the emission of toxic gases during a fire. This is crucial in places where protecting health and life is important.
• Flexibility: Multi-wire conductor construction (class 5) provides high cable flexibility, making installation and routing in tight spaces easier.
• Temperature resistance: The cable maintains its properties over a wide temperature range – from -40°C to +70°C (after installation), and during installation from -15°C to +70°C.
• Fire resistance: Meets stringent standards for fire resistance (DIN VDE 0482-332-3-24, BS 4066 part 3, DIN EN 60332-3-24, IEC 60332-3-24), confirming its high level of safety.
• Radiation resistance: Exhibits resistance to radiation up to 100 x 10⁶ cJ/kg (up to 100 Mrad).
