Flexible halogen-free control cable – reliability and safety

This 25-core JZ-500 HMH 25G1,5 cable is a flexible solution for use in industry, construction, and machine installations. Made with copper cores of 1.5 mm² cross-section, with insulation and an outer jacket made of halogen-free compounds, it provides a high level of safety and fire resistance. The cable is ideal where reliable operation in difficult conditions and minimizing the emission of toxic gases in the event of a fire are required.

Construction and properties

The cable is characterized by a careful construction, ensuring long-lasting and trouble-free operation. Copper cores are twisted, which increases their flexibility and resistance to mechanical damage. Insulation made of TI6 halogen-free compound guarantees safety in case of fire – it limits the release of smoke and toxic gases. From 3 cores, a yellow-green protective core is also present. The outer jacket made of TM7 compound provides additional protection against external factors.

The cable has been tested for radiation resistance (up to 100 x 10⁶ cJ/kg) and meets stringent standards regarding self-extinguishing properties, flame retardancy, corrosiveness of fire gases, and halogen-free properties. This ensures that the installation is safe and compliant with applicable regulations.

Application and user parameters

JZ-500 HMH 25G1,5 cable is used as a measuring, control and steering cable in many industries:

• Mechanical industry: ideal for connections in conveyors, production lines and other industrial equipment.
• Construction: suitable for electrical installations in residential, commercial and industrial buildings.
• Metallurgy and steelworks: resistant to difficult working conditions in industrial environments with high temperatures and exposure to chemicals.
• Fixed and mobile installations: thanks to its flexibility, it can be used both in permanently laid installations and in those subject to occasional movement.

The cable is designed to operate in a temperature range from -40°C to +70°C (stationary) and -15°C to +70°C (flexible). The rated voltage U is 500 V, and the minimum bending radius is 4x the cable diameter for fixed laying and 12.5x the cable diameter for flexible laying. The outer diameter of the cable is approximately 17.6 mm.
