Flexible halogen-free control cable – reliability and safety

This 34-core flexible cable JZ-500 HMH is a solution designed for demanding industrial applications and installations where safety and fire resistance are crucial. The cable is characterized by high flexibility, which facilitates installation and routing in tight spaces. Made of high-quality materials, it ensures reliable operation for a long time.

Construction and application

The JZ-500 HMH cable is designed to operate in a wide temperature range – from -40°C to +70°C (after installation) and from -15°C to +70°C during installation. Its construction based on multi-wire copper conductors (class 5) ensures high flexibility and resistance to mechanical fatigue. The conductors are insulated with a halogen-free TI6 mixture, which minimizes the emission of toxic gases and smoke in the event of a fire. The black outer jacket color (RAL 7001) makes it easy to identify the cable in the installation. The conductors are black with white number printing, which facilitates their identification during installation and servicing.

This cable is used as a measuring, control and steering cable in mechanical engineering, conveyors, technological lines, in the construction of installations, metallurgy and steelworks. It will work well in both fixed and mobile installations, but it is important to remember its limitations regarding mechanical stress – it is not intended for applications with frequent tension or movements. It can be used in dry, wet and humid rooms, also surface-mounted.

Safety and compliance with standards

The cable meets the requirements of the Low Voltage Directive 2014/35/EU (CE marking). Additionally, it has passed a series of tests confirming its fire-resistant and halogen-free properties:

• Self-extinguishing and flame retardancy according to DIN VDE 0482-332-1-2, DIN EN 60332-3-24, IEC 60332-3-24
• Corrosivity of fire gases according to DIN VDE 0482-754-2, DIN EN 60754-2, IEC 60754-2
• Halogen-free according to DIN VDE 0482-754-1, DIN EN 60754-1, IEC 60754-1
• Smoke density according to DIN VDE 0482 part 1034-1+2/ DIN EN 61034-1+2, IEC 61034-1+2/ BS 7622 part 1+2

Thanks to this, this cable provides a high level of safety in the event of a fire, minimizing the risk of poisoning by toxic gases and the spread of fire. The materials used in production are free of silicone and cadmium and substances that interfere with painting.
