Halogen-free control cable – reliability and safety

This flexible control cable JZ-500 HMH 34G1 is a proposal for professionals and end-users who value safety and reliability. The cable is designed for use in mechanical engineering, building installations, metallurgy and many other places where high resistance to external factors and fire protection are required. Made of high-quality materials, it ensures stable operation and long service life.

Construction and properties

The JZ-500 HMH 34G1 cable is constructed in accordance with DIN VDE 0285-525-2-51/ DIN EN 50525-2-51 and DIN VDE 0285-525-3-11/ DIN EN 50525-3-11 standards. It has 34 copper strands, twisted into class 5 flexible wire (multi-strand flexible), which ensures flexibility and ease of installation. The strands are insulated with halogen-free TI6 mixture, and the entire cable is surrounded by a gray (RAL 7001) coating made of TM7 mixture, which provides additional protection against mechanical damage and weather conditions. An important element is also the presence of a yellow-green protective conductor (from 3 strands), increasing safety.

• Halogen-free: Materials used in production do not contain halogen, minimizing the risk of toxic gas formation in the event of a fire.
• Flame retardant: The cable has passed tests confirming its fire resistance in accordance with DIN VDE 0482-332-3-24, BS 4066 part 3, DIN EN 60332-3-24 and IEC 60332-3-24 standards.
• Flexibility: The construction with multi-strand wires ensures high cable flexibility, making it easy to route even in tight spaces.
• Wide temperature range: The cable can be operated at temperatures from -40°C to +70°C (stationary) and from -15°C to +70°C (flexible).
• Radiation resistance: The cable is resistant to radiation up to 100 x 10⁶ cJ/kg (up to 100 Mrad).

Applications and installation

The JZ-500 HMH 34G1 cable is used as a measuring, control and steering cable in various industries. It is ideal for machine installations, conveyors, technological lines and in construction. It can be used both in dry, damp and wet rooms – also surface-mounted. The minimum bending radius is 4x cable diameter for fixed laying and 12.5x cable diameter for flexible operation. It should be remembered that the cable is not intended for applications with continuous movements or mechanical stresses. The strand cross-section is 1 mm², and the rated voltage is 500V. The outer diameter of the cable is approximately 17.9 mm.
