Flexible control cable – reliability and safety in every application
This halogen-free, shielded JZ-500 HMH-C flexible cable is an ideal solution for use in machines, production lines, air conditioning systems and steel mills. It provides reliable signal transmission and control in industrial environments, both in stationary and flexible installations. The cable design is designed with safety in mind – it is flame retardant and has low smoke emission in the event of a fire.
Construction and properties ensuring long-term operation
The cable consists of 25 stranded copper cores, with a cross-section of 0.5 mm², insulated with halogen-free TI6 mixture. The cores are black with white numbers for easy identification. A braided screen made of tinned copper wires (85% coverage) minimizes electromagnetic interference, guaranteeing stable device operation. Additionally, the cable has a separating foil and an outer jacket made of halogen-free TM7 mixture in gray color (RAL 7001). This makes it resistant to mechanical damage and environmental influences.
The cable has been tested and meets stringent safety standards, such as DIN VDE 0482-332-3-24, BS 4066 part 3 and IEC 60332-3-24. It is also compliant with the Low Voltage Directive 2014/35/EU (CE marking). It is worth noting its resistance to radiation up to 100x10⁶ cJ/kg (100 Mrad) and the absence of cadmium and silicone in the materials used in production.
- Halogen-free ensures reduced risk of toxic gas formation during a fire, increasing the safety of people and equipment.
- Shielding protects against electromagnetic interference, ensuring stable signal transmission.
- Flexibility allows easy routing of the cable in tight spaces and dynamic installations.
- Resistance to weather conditions allows the cable to be used in dry, humid and wet environments and surface mounting.
- Wide operating temperature range – from -40°C to +70°C (stationary) and from -15°C to +70°C (flexible) – guarantees reliable operation in various conditions.
- Numbered cores facilitate identification of individual wires during installation and servicing.
- The CE mark confirms compliance with European safety standards.
The JZ-500 HMH-C cable is characterized by a rated voltage of 500 V and an approximate outer diameter of 13.7 mm. The coupling resistance is a maximum of 250 Ohm/km, and the minimum bending radius is approximately 12.5 x cable diameter for fixed laying and approximately 4 x cable diameter for flexible laying. The cable is supplied by the meter and an option with a yellow-green protective conductor is available (the designation "x" indicates the absence of a protective conductor).
