Flexible control cable with screen and halogen-free insulation

This 7-core JZ-500 HMH-C cable with a cross-section of 0.75 mm² is a versatile solution for use in machines, production lines, air conditioning systems and metallurgy. The cable is designed for both stationary and flexible installations, providing reliable signal transmission in various conditions. Thanks to the braided screen, it guarantees minimization of electromagnetic interference (EMC), which is crucial in precise control systems.

The cable is characterized by a high level of safety – it is made of halogen-free materials, which limits the emission of toxic gases in the event of a fire. Additionally, it meets stringent standards regarding fire resistance and corrosion of fire gases. This makes it ideal for use in places with increased safety requirements.

Construction and properties

The JZ-500 HMH-C cable is characterized by a solid construction ensuring long-lasting and reliable operation:

• Cores: Copper, stranded, twisted according to DIN VDE 0295 class 5, BS 6360 class 5 and IEC 60228 class 5 – guaranteeing flexibility and mechanical strength.
• Insulation: Made of halogen-free TI6 mixture (DIN VDE 0207-363-7/ DIN EN 50363-7), ensuring safety and minimizing the emission of harmful substances.
• Core identification: Black cores with white numbers facilitate the identification of individual wires during installation and servicing. The yellow-green protective conductor (from 3 cores) is located in the outer layer.
• Screening: Braided screen of tinned copper wires (85% coverage) effectively protects against electromagnetic interference.
• Outer sheath: Halogen-free TM7 mixture (DIN VDE 0207-363-8/ DIN EN 50363-8) provides resistance to abrasion and external factors and additionally increases safety.
• Color: Gray (RAL 7001) for easy identification.

Operating parameters and compliance with standards

The JZ-500 HMH-C cable is designed to operate in a wide temperature range: from -40°C to +70°C for stationary installation and from -15°C to +70°C for flexible operation. The rated voltage is 500 V, and the test voltage is 2000 V. The minimum bending radius is approx. 4 x cable diameter for stationary installation and approx. 12.5 x cable diameter for flexible operation. It complies with DIN VDE 0285-525-2-51/DIN EN 50525-2-51/DIN VDE 0285-525-3-11/DIN EN 50525-3-11 and has a CE certificate confirming compliance with the Low Voltage Directive 2014/35/EU. Additionally, it meets the requirements for low flammability, halogen-free and radiation resistance.
