Halogen-free control cable – reliability and safety
This flexible control cable JZ-500 HMH-C 7G2.5 is a solution designed for demanding industrial applications and installations where safety and protection against interference are crucial. This cable, manufactured by HELUKABEL, combines high quality workmanship with advanced material properties.
Construction and properties
The JZ-500 HMH-C cable is distinguished by a construction that ensures reliable operation in harsh conditions. Seven copper conductors with a cross-section of 2.5 mm², made in flexibility class 5, guarantee flexibility and easy installation. The conductors are insulated with halogen-free TI6 mixture, which minimizes the emission of toxic gases and smoke in the event of a fire – important for the safety of people and equipment. A braided screen made of tinned copper wires (85% coverage) effectively protects against electromagnetic interference (EMC), ensuring stable signal transmission. The whole is surrounded by a halogen-free outer jacket made of TM7 mixture in gray color (RAL 7001).
This cable is designed to operate in a temperature range from -40°C to +70°C (stationary) and from -15°C to +70°C (flexible), making it a versatile solution for various applications. The rated voltage U is 500 V, and the test voltage is 2000 V. The minimum bending radius is approx. 12.5 x cable diameter for flexible laying and approx. 4 x cable diameter for fixed laying.

The JZ-500 HMH-C cable is ideal as a measuring and control cable in machines, conveyor belts, production lines, air conditioning systems and steel mills. It can be used in both stationary and flexible installations – where resistance to bending and twisting is required. Thanks to the screen, it ensures interference-free signal transmission in environments exposed to electromagnetic interference. The halogen-free materials provide additional safety in the event of a fire, minimizing the risk of poisoning by toxic gases. Complies with DIN VDE 0285-525-2-51/DIN EN 50525-2-51/DIN VDE 0285-525-3-11/DIN EN 50525-3-11 and has a CE certificate confirming compliance with the Low Voltage Directive 2014/35/EU.
