This red, halogen-free shielded cable is designed for use in fire alarm systems and telecommunications installations. Its construction minimizes the risk of fire spreading and the release of toxic gases in the event of a fire, making it an ideal choice for facilities where safety is a priority. This cable is suitable for both dry and wet installations, both on and under plaster.

Construction and properties

The cable is characterized by a 2x2x0.8 mm² construction, which means four working conductors twisted in pairs. Made of copper conductors insulated with halogen-free component HI2 (according to DIN VDE 0207 part 23), it provides good flexibility and durability. The conductors are twisted into bundles and then wrapped with aluminum foil with plastic, creating an effective electrostatic shield protecting against electromagnetic interference. The outer jacket is made of halogen-free, flame-retardant material HM2 (DIN VDE 0207 part 24) in red with a clear imprint "BRANDMELDEKABEL" (fire alarm cable).

It is worth noting the wide range of operating temperatures – from -30°C to +70°C (stationary) and from -5°C to +50°C (flexible), which guarantees reliable operation in various environmental conditions. In addition, the cable has undergone rigorous fire tests (DIN VDE 0482-332-3-24, BS 4066 part 3, DIN EN 60332-3-24, IEC 60332-3-24) and corrosion tests of fire gases (DIN VDE 0482 part 267, DIN EN 50267-2-2, IEC 60754-2).
