Telephone cable PVC J-Y(St)Y Lg 4x2x0.6 mm – reliable data transmission
This grey telephone cable J-Y(St)Y Lg 4x2x0.6 mm is a solid solution for building internal telecommunications installations. The cable is designed for transmitting signals in dry and humid indoor environments, as well as outdoors. Its construction, based on twisted pairs of wires, minimizes interference and ensures a stable signal.
This cable is particularly useful when creating communication stations, transmitting measurement data, and in applications requiring reliable signal transmission. However, it is important to remember that it is not suitable for high-current applications – it is intended only for telecommunication signals.
Construction and properties
The J-Y(St)Y Lg 4x2x0.6 mm cable is distinguished by careful workmanship and the use of high-quality materials. Single-wire copper conductors are insulated with PVC YI1, and color markings facilitate the identification of individual wires according to DIN VDE 0815. The twisted pairs are additionally shielded with a laminated plastic aluminum foil with a drain wire – this shielding protects against the influence of external electromagnetic fields. The outer jacket is made of flame-retardant PVC YM1, which increases safety.
- Electrostatic shielding (St): Provides protection against electromagnetic interference, which translates to higher signal quality.
- Twisted pair conductors: Minimize interference and improve signal stability.
- Flame-retardant PVC coating: Increases safety and limits the spread of fire in the event of a fire (compliance with DIN VDE 0482-332-1-2, DIN EN 60332-1-2, IEC 60332-1 standards).
- Color-coded conductors: Facilitate identification and correct connection of wires according to DIN VDE 0815.
- Wide operating temperature range: The cable retains its properties at temperatures from -30°C to +70°C (stationary) and from -5°C to +50°C during installation.
Technical specifications and application
The cable is characterized by a cross-section of 0.6 mm² and an outer diameter of approximately 6.5 mm. It has 8 working conductors arranged in 4 twisted pairs. The operating voltage is 300V. Thanks to its properties, it is perfect for internal and external telecommunications installations – both in residential and commercial buildings. It is an ideal choice for installers of alarm systems, monitoring or computer networks requiring reliable transmission of voice and video data. Additionally, the cable meets the CPR Eca standard regarding reaction to fire.
