Flexible cable 500V m.FLEX 512-PUR 5G4 grey, halogen-free PUR chain cable 22555
Flexible cable for applications requiring high flexibility
This metered m.FLEX 512-PUR 5G4 flexible cable is a solution designed for demanding applications where reliability and resistance to intense bending are important. Made of high-quality materials, it ensures safe and long-lasting operation in harsh industrial conditions. This cable is particularly recommended for use in energy chains, robotics, and in machines exposed to frequent movements.
Construction and properties
The cable is distinguished by its construction providing exceptional flexibility and durability. It has five cores with a cross-section of 4 mm², made of unannealed copper, twisted in a multi-wire strand class 6 – which guarantees high flexibility and resistance to material fatigue. The core insulation is made of modified PP, and the cores are black with white numbers for easy identification. The yellow-green protective core is located externally (from 3 cores).
The key element is the polyurethane (PUR) outer jacket, which provides resistance to abrasion, tearing, oils, and UV radiation. This material is also characterized by low adhesion, which facilitates the movement of the cable in energy chains. The whole is halogen-free, which increases safety in case of fire. The cable has been tested by method H for approx. 10 million bending cycles, which confirms its exceptional mechanical strength.
Applications and compliance with standards
The m.FLEX 512-PUR 5G4 cable is perfect for the following applications:
- Mechanical industry: ideal for moving parts of machines and devices where high flexibility and resistance to mechanical loads are required.
- Robotics: provides reliable connections in robotic systems, exposed to continuous bending and movements.
- Energy chains: thanks to its construction minimizing friction and resistance to abrasion, it is ideally suited for use in energy chains.
- Industrial automation: performs well in control and power supply systems for automation devices.
The cable meets the standards DIN VDE 0285-525-2-21 / DIN EN 50525-2-21 and has a CE certificate confirming compliance with the Low Voltage Directive 2014/35/EU. The permissible ambient temperature during operation is from -40°C to +80°C (flexible) and from -30°C to +80°C during installation. The rated voltage U/U is 300/500 V, and the test voltage is 3000 V. The insulation resistance is min. 100 MOhm x km. The minimum bending radius is 5 x cable diameter (flexible) and 3 x cable diameter (when laid permanently).
