Control and power cable for cable reels – reliability and flexibility in every application
This black NSHTÖU 5G2.5 mm² rubber control and power cable is the ideal solution wherever high mechanical strength and resistance to harsh working conditions are required. Designed for continuous winding and unwinding from drums, it is perfect for use in construction, mines, cranes, conveyors and hoists. Its construction guarantees safe and efficient power transmission both indoors and outdoors.
Construction and properties for professionals
The NSHTÖU cable is manufactured in accordance with DIN VDE 0250 part 814, which confirms its high quality and safety. The use of a polychloroprene (neoprene) outer jacket provides exceptional resistance to low temperatures, ozone, UV radiation and aggressive chemicals such as oils, acids, fats and fuels. Stranded conductors twisted around a core element with a lay length and a textile braid protect against twisting and increase tensile strength. Conductor identification according to DIN VDE 0293 facilitates correct connection. The cable has a rated voltage U0/U of 600/1000 V and a conductor cross-section of 2.5 mm².
Versatile application and safe use
This cable is designed to operate in temperatures from -40°C to +70°C (stationary) and from -35°C to +70°C (flexible). It can be used in both dry and humid environments and outdoors. It meets the requirements for fire behaviour (IEC 60332-1-2) and is oil-resistant (DIN VDE 0473-811-404). This ensures safe operation in demanding industrial conditions. The reaction to fire class is Eca. The cable has a protective conductor.
Additional information:
The cable is designed for continuous movement – repeated winding and unwinding.
The permissible winding speed is a maximum of 120 m/min.
Remember to leave 1-2 turns on the drum during operation.
With high mechanical loads, the permissible stresses must be taken into account.
