This flexible control cable, designated PA.TR.-LI-2YCY, is designed for transmitting signals in environments exposed to electromagnetic interference. The twisted pair construction of the cores, combined with a foil and braided screen, provides high resistance to interference and stable data transmission over significant distances. The cable is particularly recommended for RS 422 and RS 485 interfaces, where connection reliability is crucial.

This cable is used in both stationary and mobile installations, where flexibility and resistance to moderate mechanical loads are required. It can be used in dry, damp and wet rooms (but not outdoors), making it a versatile solution for many industrial and building automation applications.

### Construction and properties

The PA.TR.-LI-2YCY cable stands out with its careful construction, which translates into its durability and performance. The multi-strand (class 2) copper cores, twisted in pairs, minimize the impact of electromagnetic interference. In addition, the foil and braided screen effectively protect the signal from external interference. The outer jacket made of PVC provides resistance to abrasion and weathering.

The cable meets the requirements of the CE standard and is compliant with the Low Voltage Directive 2014/35/EU, guaranteeing its safety and reliability. The materials used in production are free of silicone, cadmium and substances that interfere with painting. The outer jacket is self-extinguishing and flame-retardant (tested according to VDE 0482-332-1-2 / DIN EN 60332-1-2 / IEC 60332-1-2).

### Operating parameters

The cable retains its properties in a wide temperature range: from -30°C to +80°C during continuous operation and from -5°C to +70°C during installation or operation in motion. The minimum bending radius is 7.5 x cable diameter for fixed installation and 12 x cable diameter during flexible operation – making installation easier even in difficult conditions. The core/core test voltage is 2000 V and core/screen 1000 V, confirming the high quality of the cable's electrical insulation.
