This black, flexible spiral cable from HELUKABEL is the ideal solution wherever a high degree of freedom of movement and resistance to mechanical damage are required. The PUR-SPIKA cable combines durability, flexibility and safety, proving its worth in a variety of applications – from machines and power tools, through the construction industry, to medical devices. Its construction allows it to be stretched up to 4 meters with an initial length of 1 meter, providing convenience and functionality in dynamic working conditions.

Construction and properties

The cable is made of high-quality materials. Copper strands, twisted according to DIN VDE 0295 cl.5, BS 6360 cl.5 and IEC 60228 cl.5 standards, ensure excellent electrical conductivity. The strand insulation made of rubber guarantees safe use, and the outer jacket made of polyurethane (PUR) protects against abrasion, stretching and external factors. A yellow-green protective conductor (available from the 3-core version) further increases the level of safety. The cable is characterized by a rated voltage of 500 V and a test voltage of 2000 V (for H05BQ-F). An elongation ratio of 1:4 means that the cable can be stretched to four times its initial length without losing its properties. An important constructional element is the straight sections at the ends of the cable, 200 mm long – they facilitate connection to devices.
