Control cable UL-CSA – reliability and flexibility in every application

This multi-core control cable, with a rated voltage of 600V, is designed for demanding industrial applications. The JZ-602 cable is characterized by high flexibility and resistance to external factors, making it an ideal choice for both professional installers and end users. Thanks to UL and CSA approvals, it ensures compliance with stringent safety standards.

Construction and properties

The cable is made of high-quality materials, guaranteeing its durability and reliability. Copper strands, twisted according to DIN VDE 0295 cl. 5, BS 6360 cl. 5 and IEC 60228 cl. 5 standards, provide excellent conductivity. PVC TI3 insulation protects against short circuits and mechanical damage, and the outer PVC YM5 coating further increases resistance to abrasion and weathering. The gray color facilitates identification in installations.

The cable also features high resistance to mineral, synthetic and water-based coolants – which is particularly important in industrial environments exposed to contact with these substances. The materials used in production are silicone, cadmium and paint-inhibiting substance free. Additionally, the cable has passed tests confirming its self-extinguishing and flame-retardant properties (DIN VDE 0482-332-1-2 DIN EN 60332-1-2, IEC 60332-1 and UL VW-1, CSA FT1).

Applications and technical parameters

The JZ-602 cable is used in control systems as a connection between the control panel and the machine or other industrial equipment. It is intended for laying in dry and damp rooms with medium mechanical load – however, it is not suitable for laying in the open air. Thanks to its flexible construction, the cable works perfectly in applications requiring frequent bending and movement.

This cable is characterized by a rated voltage of 600 V and has 18 cores with a cross-section of 1 mm² (equivalent to AWG18). Its outer diameter is approximately 14.1 mm. The cable retains its properties in a wide temperature range: from -40°C to +90°C during stationary use and from -5°C to +90°C during installation. The core insulation is made of polyvinyl chloride (PVC), as is the outer coating. The cores are identified with numbers, and the core class is class 5 (multi-strand flexible).
