Universal control cable for industrial applications

This multi-core UL-CSA 600V cable is a flexible solution for control systems, designed for both installers and end-users. This cable is used for connections between control cabinets and various industrial devices. It is suitable for dry and humid environments where medium mechanical stress is required – however, it is not suitable for outdoor installation.

Construction and properties

The cable is characterized by a solid construction based on stranded copper conductors, which ensures good flexibility and resistance to bending. The insulation of the conductors is made of high-quality polyvinyl chloride (PVC) TI3, guaranteeing safety and reliability. The conductors are twisted in parallel, and the whole is surrounded by a durable outer coating made of PVC YM5, resistant to abrasion and mechanical damage. The gray color (RAL 7001) makes it easier to identify in the installation. The cable is available in meters, allowing for precise adjustment of the length to the needs of a specific project.

• Chemical resistance: The outer coating is resistant to mineral, synthetic and water-based coolants – increasing durability in harsh industrial conditions.
• Safety: The cable has UL and CSA approvals, confirming compliance with strict safety standards. Materials used in production are free of silicone, cadmium and substances that interfere with painting.
• Temperature range: The cable retains its properties over a wide temperature range – from -40°C to +90°C (stationary) and from -5°C to +90°C during installation.
• Flame retardancy: Self-extinguishing and flame-retardant PVC meets standards DIN VDE 0482-332-1-2, DIN EN 60332-1-2, IEC 60332-1, UL VW-1 and CSA FT1 – increasing the fire safety of the installation.

Technical specifications

The cable has 7 cores with a cross-section of 1 mm², which corresponds to approximately AWG18. The outer diameter is about 8.7 mm. The rated voltage is 600 V, and the test voltage is 3000 V – ensuring safe operation of the electrical installation. The insulation resistance is at least 20 MOhm x km, guaranteeing minimal energy losses and high signal quality. The conductors are marked with numbers for easy identification during installation and servicing. Additionally, the cable contains a yellow-green protective conductor for increased safety of use (depending on the version).
