Universal control cable for industrial and installation applications
This two-core UL-CSA 600V cable is a flexible solution for control systems, designed for connections between control panels and machinery or other industrial equipment. It is suitable for both installations carried out by professionals and applications requiring reliable power and control. The cable is particularly recommended for dry and humid rooms with medium mechanical stress.
Construction and properties
The cable is characterized by a solid construction, based on twisted copper conductors, which ensures its high flexibility and resistance to bending. The core insulation is made of high-quality PVC TI3, guaranteeing safe use and long-term reliability. The outer jacket made of special PVC YM5 additionally protects the cable against mechanical damage and external factors. The outer diameter of the cable is approximately 5.6 mm, which makes it easier to route in tight spaces.
The cable also has high resistance to mineral, synthetic and water-based coolants – making it an ideal choice for industrial environments exposed to contact with these substances. The materials used in production are silicone, cadmium and paint-inhibiting substance free. Additionally, the cable meets stringent standards for fire resistance (IEC 60332-1-2, UL VW-1, CSA FT1), ensuring safety in the event of a fire.
User parameters and scope of applications
The cable is designed to operate in temperatures from -40°C to +90°C (stationary) and from -5°C to +90°C (flexible). The rated voltage U is 600V, and the permissible core cross-section is 0.5 mm², corresponding to AWG20. This makes the cable perfect for applications requiring stable voltage and reliable power transmission. This is particularly important in control systems, where even momentary voltage drops can lead to equipment failure.
The cable is available in grey (RAL 7001) and is sold by the meter, allowing for precise adjustment of the length to the needs of a specific installation. The lack of a yellow-green protective earth conductor (marking "OZ") means that an additional grounding wire must be used in the installation – this should be taken into account when designing the system.
