Universal signal and measuring cable UL Style 2464

This grey, two-core UL Style 2464 cable is a flexible solution for a wide range of applications – from installations in mechanical engineering, through the computer industry, to air conditioning systems. Designed for both professional installers and end-users, it provides reliable connections in various conditions. Its construction and materials guarantee durability and resistance to external factors.

Construction and properties

The cable is characterized by a stranded copper core, which provides high flexibility and resistance to mechanical fatigue. PVC insulation class 43 meets the requirements of DIN VDE 0207 and UL Std.1581, guaranteeing safe use. The cores are identified by colors according to DIN 47100 or the international color code, which facilitates their differentiation during installation. The outer jacket made of special PVC provides additional protection against mechanical damage and chemical influences. Importantly, the materials used in production are free of silicone, cadmium and substances hindering painting. The cable has passed UL VW-1 and CSA FT1 PVC flame retardancy tests.

The use of special PVC makes the cable resistant to oils, solvents, acids and alkalis – which is particularly important in harsh industrial conditions. The minimum bending radius is 15x the cable diameter for flexible mounting and 7.5x the diameter for fixed laying, which facilitates routing cables in tight spaces.

Technical specifications and applications

The cable has a core cross-section of 0.34 mm² (corresponding to AWG 22) and is designed to operate at a rated voltage of 300V and a test voltage of 1500V. The permissible ambient temperature during installation is from -10°C to +80°C, and after installation (without vibration) from -20°C to +80°C. The outer diameter of the cable is approximately 4.2 mm.

It is ideal as a flexible connection in control and measuring devices, in control systems and in conveyors. It can also be used in the computer industry and in air conditioning systems. The product meets the requirements of the Low Voltage Directive 2014/35/EU (CE marking).
