PVC data cable, shielded JE-Y(St)Y Bd 2x2x0.8 mm² blue, color-coded wires acc. to DIN VDE 0815 48520
Special cable for data and control transmission
This blue JE-Y(ST)Y 2x2x0.8 cable is a reliable solution for transmitting signals in control and data transmission systems. It is designed for installations in dry, humid, and even outdoor environments, both under and on the surface of plaster. This cable is particularly recommended where flexibility and resistance to external conditions are required.
Construction and properties
The cable consists of four copper conductors with a cross-section of 0.8 mm², twisted in pairs to minimize interference. Each conductor is insulated with high-quality PVC (YI3), providing good electrical and mechanical insulation. The conductors are additionally shielded with aluminum foil, protecting against electromagnetic interference. The whole is surrounded by a durable outer sheath made of PVC (YM1) in blue (RAL 5015). This construction guarantees long-lasting and trouble-free operation in various conditions.
- Solid copper conductors: Ensure good electrical conductivity and connection durability.
- PVC insulation: Resistant to abrasion and mechanical damage, ensuring safe use.
- Twisted pairs: Minimize electromagnetic interference, which is crucial in data transmission systems.
- Foil shielding: Additional protection against external interference.
- Wide operating temperature range: Possibility of operation from -40°C to +70°C (after installation), making it a universal solution for various applications.
- Radiation resistance: The cable retains its properties even under the influence of radiation up to 80 x 10⁶ cJ/kg (80 Mrad).
Application and compliance with standards
The JE-Y(ST)Y 2x2x0.8 cable is ideal for industrial installations, building automation systems, and anywhere a reliable transmission of digital data is required. It is not intended for high-current applications – its main function is to transmit control and information signals. It meets the requirements of the Low Voltage Directive 2014/35/EU (CE marking) and DIN VDE 815. A halogen-free version is also available for applications requiring special attention to fire safety.
Additional information:
- Operating voltage: max. 225V
- Conductor resistance: 36.6 Ohm/km (at 20°C)
- Minimum bending radius: approx. 6 x cable diameter during stationary installation
- Mutual capacitance: max. 100 pF/km
