Construction and Properties

The NYY-J cable is characterized by a construction compliant with DIN VDE 0276-603 / HD 603 S1 / IEC 60502 standards (from 7 cores – DIN VDE 0276-627 / HD 627 S1 / IEC 60502). It has 14 cores with a cross-section of 1.5 mm², made of copper, which guarantees good electrical conductivity. The cores are insulated with polyvinyl chloride (PVC) type DIV4, and the entire cable is surrounded by an outer coating of PVC type DMV5. Core identification is done using colors, in accordance with DIN VDE 0293-308, which facilitates assembly and subsequent servicing. The cores are round and solid (class 1), which affects ease of processing and connection.

This cable is designed to operate in a wide temperature range – from -40°C to +70°C (after installation) and from -5°C to +50°C during installation. The maximum permissible core temperature is 70°C. The rated voltage of the cable is 1000 kV, and the test voltage is 4000 V. Thanks to this, the cable ensures safe and stable operation in various operating conditions. The outer diameter of the cable is approximately 20 mm.
