Shielded power cable NYCWY 3x185/95 SM
This power cable, with a cross-section of 185 mm², is designed for a wide range of applications in distribution networks, industry, switchgear construction, power plants, and as a control cable. The construction with a concentric conductor (Ceander) provides flexibility and the possibility of making branches without cutting the cable, which increases safety and simplifies installation.
This cable is characterized by high resistance to external and mechanical conditions, making it suitable for laying in the ground, outdoors, in water, indoors, in concrete, and in cable ducts. Made of copper and PVC insulation, it meets the standards DIN VDE 0276 part 603, HD 603 S1 and IEC 60502.
Construction and properties:
- Copper strands, single- or multi-wire (class 1 or 2), ensure good electrical conductivity.
- PVC insulation (DIV4 according to HD 603 S1) guarantees reliable protection against electric shock.
- Concentric conductor (Ceander) – an inner layer of copper wires and an outer layer of copper tape – acts as a screen and can be used as a PE or PEN protective conductor.
- Outer sheath made of PVC (DMV5 according to HD 603 S1) protects the cable from mechanical damage and weathering.
- Color of the outer sheath: black for easy identification.
- Identification of the cores is done using colors according to DIN VDE 0293-308.
- The cable complies with the Low Voltage Directive 2014/35/EU (CE marking).
Operating parameters:
The rated voltage U is 1000 kV, and the rated voltage U0 is 600 kV – these values allow the cable to be used in medium voltage networks. The maximum permissible conductor temperature is 70 °C, which ensures safe operation under various temperature conditions. The permissible ambient temperature during operation is in the range of -40°C to +70°C, allowing operation in a wide temperature range. During installation, the permissible ambient temperature is from -5°C to +50°C, enabling installation in various weather conditions. The approximate outer diameter of the cable is 50 mm – important information when planning cable routes and selecting appropriate mounting accessories. The minimum bending radius is 12 x Ø cable, which prevents damage during installation.
The NYCWY 3x185/95 SM cable is a solid and reliable solution for demanding power applications, ensuring safety and long-term operation. It is a high-quality product made without the use of silicone and cadmium, or substances that interfere with painting.
