Flexible cable for cable carriers – reliability in servo applications
This specialized TOPSERV® 121 cable, with an outer diameter of 12.2 mm, is designed for use in cable carriers, particularly in servo systems. Its construction and materials guarantee high flexibility and durability, even with intensive bending and twisting. This cable combines power conductors (4x1.5 mm²) and control conductors (2x(2x0.75) mm²), making it an ideal solution where simultaneous power supply and control of devices are required.
Construction and properties for demanding applications
The cable is characterized by an advanced construction that ensures reliable operation in harsh industrial conditions. Copper strands, stranded according to DIN VDE 0295 cl. 6 and IEC 60228 cl. 6 standards, are insulated with halogen-free polypropylene, increasing user safety. Wire marking facilitates identification and connection of wires – Siemens, Lenze and universal color coding are available. A copper wire braid screen provides effective protection against electromagnetic interference (EMC), which is crucial in precise control systems. In addition, the outer jacket made of PUR (polyurethane) is resistant to abrasion, oils, hydrolysis and UV radiation – this guarantees a long service life even in an aggressive industrial environment.
Parameters and applications – from robotics to automation
The TOPSERV® 121 cable has been tested and certified according to UL AWM Style 21223/20234, CSA AWM and VDE standards. Its permissible operating temperature range is from -40°C to +80°C (flexible) and from -40°C to +90°C (stationary), allowing it to be used in a wide range of ambient temperatures. The rated voltage U is 1000 V, and the test voltage is 4000 V (50 Hz). This cable is primarily used in:
