Universal spiral cable for demanding applications

This black, three-core PUR-SPIKA cable with a length of 300 mm (extendable to 900 mm) is a flexible and durable solution for a wide range of applications. Made of high-quality polyurethane (PUR), it ensures reliability in harsh working conditions. The cable is particularly useful where a large freedom of movement and resistance to mechanical damage are required.

Construction and properties

The cable is characterized by a solid construction: twisted stranded copper conductors (class 6 according to VDE 0295 and IEC 60228) are insulated with TPE-E, and the whole is surrounded by a screen and a durable PUR jacket. The cores are identified according to DIN 47100, which facilitates installation and servicing. The flexibility of the cable results from an elongation ratio of 1:4 – it can be stretched to three times its original length. It is worth remembering that there is a straight section of 200 mm at each end, which facilitates connection.

Applications and parameters

The PUR-SPIKA cable is perfect for applications requiring frequent movements and bending, such as lifts, equipment in the entertainment industry, medical devices or measuring instruments. It also finds application in revolving doors and wherever a reliable low-current cable is needed. The cable is designed to operate at temperatures from -25°C to +70°C and withstands a test voltage of 2000 V. The rated voltage is 300 V (up to a cross-section of 0.14 mm²) and 500 V (from a cross-section of 0.25 mm²). Please note that the cable is not flame retardant.
