Silicone cable for demanding conditions
This single-core silicone cable, characterized by high temperature resistance, is an ideal solution where standard cables fail. Made of a copper core with flexibility class 5, covered with silicone insulation, it provides a reliable connection even in extreme conditions. This cable finds application in many industries, including steel, metallurgical, aviation and shipbuilding.
Construction and properties
The cable meets the standards DIN VDE 0250-1 and 502, which guarantees its safety and quality. The copper core is tinned for better protection against corrosion. The flexible construction makes installation and routing of cables in tight spaces easier. The cable retains its properties over a wide temperature range – from -60°C to +180°C (stationary) and from -25°C to +180°C (flexible), and the permissible operating temperature on the cores is as high as +180°C. The rated voltage is 300/500V, and the test voltage is 2000V. The minimum bending radius is 6x the cable diameter for fixed laying and 15x for flexible operation.
Additionally, the cable is characterized by high chemical resistance – it is resistant to oils, vegetable and animal fats, alcohols, diluted acids and alkalis, and many other chemicals. It is also halogen-free, which increases fire safety and minimizes the emission of toxic gases in the event of a fire. The cable has a fire reaction class of none (according to EN 13501-6).
