Single-core silicone wire, heat-resistant SiF 1x1mm² yellow-green 23513
High-temperature silicone wire – reliability in harsh conditions
This single-core silicone wire is designed to operate in extreme temperatures and demanding industrial environments. It is characterized by exceptional flexibility and resistance to external factors, making it an ideal solution for both professional installers and end-users who need a reliable conductor in challenging applications. Made of copper with silicone insulation, it ensures safe and efficient power transmission.
Construction and application
SiF 1x1mm² wire is a product that meets DIN VDE 0250-1 and 502 standards. Its construction based on a multi-strand copper core of class 5 provides high flexibility and resistance to mechanical fatigue. Silicone insulation guarantees maintaining dielectric properties over a wide temperature range – from -60°C to +180°C (stationary operation) and -25°C to +180°C (flexible operation). Thanks to this, the wire finds application in many branches of industry, such as metallurgy, steelworks, aviation, shipyards, cement and ceramic industry, as well as in power plants. Additionally, the halogen-free construction increases safety in case of fire.
Key features and benefits
- Exceptional thermal resistance: The wire retains its properties over a wide temperature range, allowing it to be used in applications with increased thermal requirements.
- Flexibility: Multi-strand copper core of class 5 ensures easy installation and adaptation to various installation configurations.
- Safety: Halogen-free insulation minimizes the risk of toxic gas formation during combustion, increasing fire safety.
- Chemical resistance: The wire is resistant to the action of many oils, greases, solvents and chemicals, ensuring its durability in aggressive environments.
- Rated voltage: Designed to operate at 300/500V.
- Compliance with standards: Meets the requirements of DIN VDE 0250-1 and 502 and IEC 60332-1-2 (flame propagation resistance).
- Outer diameter: Approximately 2.7 mm makes it easier to route cables in tight spaces.
Additional information
The wire is characterized by a minimum bending radius of 6x the cable diameter for fixed laying and 15x the cable diameter for flexible operation. The core is made of tinned copper, which provides additional protection against corrosion. It is worth remembering the manufacturer's recommendation regarding laying the cable in open and ventilated places during stationary installations – prolonged exposure to temperatures above +90°C may affect its properties.
