This cable, characterized by its flexibility and durability, is ideal for a wide range of applications in electrical installations. Construction and properties
The cable features a single, stranded copper conductor with a cross-section of 0.75 mm², ensuring good flexibility and ease of installation. The polyvinyl chloride (PVC) insulation guarantees resistance to abrasion, moisture and many chemicals. The conductor is manufactured in accordance with DIN VDE 0295 class 5, BS 6360 class 5 and IEC 60228 class 5 standards – this confirms the high quality of workmanship and compliance with European safety standards. Additionally, the materials used in production do not contain silicone, cadmium or substances that interfere with painting.
The cable is designed to operate at temperatures from -5°C to +70°C (flexible) and from -30°C to +80°C (stationary), making it a versatile solution for various operating conditions. The rated voltage U0 is 500 V, and U – 300 V, allowing it to be used in installations with different operating voltages. The insulation resistance is at least 10 MOhm x km, providing effective protection against current leakage.
Application and installation
The H05V-K cable is widely used in DC electrical installations, control cabinets, switchboards and automation equipment. It is particularly recommended for internal connections of electrical and electronic devices. Thanks to its flexibility and ease of processing, the cable installation is quick and convenient – the minimum bending radius is 4x the cable diameter. However, it should be remembered that the cable is not designed for high-current installations or outdoor use.
The orange color of the insulation makes it easier to identify the cable in the electrical installation, which increases safety and facilitates servicing. The product meets the requirements of the Low Voltage Directive 2014/35/EU (CE marking) and has passed tests for self-extinguishing and flame retardancy in accordance with DIN VDE 0482-332-1-2 DIN EN 60332-1-2 and IEC 60332-1 (method B) standards.
