Single-core PVC wire – a reliable choice for various applications

This red, single-core PVC wire H05V-K with a cross-section of 1 mm² is a universal solution for electrical installations. It features a flexible, stranded wire construction of class 5, which facilitates installation and provides good resistance to bending. The polyvinyl chloride (PVC) insulation guarantees safety and durability. This wire is designed to operate at a rated voltage of 500 V (U0) and 300 V (U).

Construction and properties

The wire is made of twisted, tinned copper wire, meeting the standards of DIN VDE 0295 class 5, BS 6360 class 5 and IEC 60228 class 5. The PVC YI3 insulation, compliant with DIN VDE 0812, provides good protection against mechanical damage and external factors. The outer diameter of the wire is approximately 2.3 mm. The material does not contain silicone, cadmium or substances that interfere with painting.

This wire is tested for self-extinguishing properties and flame resistance in accordance with DIN VDE 0482-332-1-2, DIN EN 60332-1-2 and IEC 60332-1 standards. The operating temperature range is from -30°C to +80°C in stationary mode and from -5°C to +70°C in flexible mode. The insulation resistance is at least 10 MOhm x km. The minimum bending radius is four times the cable diameter. The wire exhibits radiation resistance up to 80 x 106 cJ/kg (80 Mrad).
