Construction and properties
The cable is designed for durability and safety. Made of stranded copper core (class 5 according to DIN VDE 0295/IEC 60228/UL Std. 758) and TI3 type PVC insulation (according to DIN VDE 0207-363-3/DIN EN 50363-3 and UL-Std. 1581, CSA-C 22.2 No. 210 Tab. 12 Class H), it provides flexibility and resistance to mechanical damage. Additionally, the materials used in production are free of silicone, cadmium and substances hindering painting – which is important in many industrial applications.
The cable is characterized by a wide range of operating temperatures:
- flexibly: from +5°C to +90°C
- stationary: from -40°C to +90°C
- UL (AWM): from -40°C to +105°C
- UL (MTW): from -40°C to +90°C
- CSA (TEW): from -40°C to +105°C
The operating voltage is 300/500 V (up to 1 mm²) and the test voltage is 2000 V (for 0.5 mm² - 5 kV, ≥ 0.75 mm² - 6 kV). The minimum bending radius depends on the cable diameter and ranges from 4xØ to 6xØ of the cable.
Application and compliance with standards
This cable stands out from the competition thanks to its compliance with as many as five standards: DIN VDE 0285-525-2-31/DIN EN 50525-2-31/UL-Std.1063/UL-Style 10269 (Style 1015) and CSA-TEW and CSA-AWM I A/B. Thanks to this, it is approved for use in many countries and industrial applications. It also has HAR, UL-AWM, UL-MTW, CSA-AWM and CSA-Equipment-wire approvals, which simplifies inventory and parts list management. The cable meets the requirements of the CE standard (compliance with LVD 2014/35/EU) and has passed flame propagation tests according to DIN VDE 0482-332-1-2/ DIN EN 60332-1- 2/IEC 60332-1-2/ UL VW-1, CSA FT1. The cable color scheme is approved and includes a wide range of solid and two-color combinations.
