Universal connection cable for a wide range of applications

This single-core PVC cable, designated as H05V2-K 0.5/AWG22, is a versatile solution for internal wiring. It is suitable for both industrial installations and electrical appliances, as well as distribution boards. Its construction and approvals make it particularly attractive for installers working in export markets.

The cable is distinguished by its compliance with as many as five standards – DIN VDE, DIN EN, UL, and CSA – which guarantees its safety and reliability. This economical solution simplifies the parts list and minimizes storage costs thanks to a wide range of approvals (HAR, UL-AWM, UL-MTW, CSA-AWM, CSA-Equipment-wire).

Construction and user properties

The cable has a multi-strand copper conductor, class 5 (according to DIN VDE 0295/IEC 60228/UL Std. 758), providing flexibility and ease of installation. The insulation is made of special PVC type TI3 (according to DIN VDE 0207-363-3/DIN EN 50363-3 and class 43 according to UL-Std. 1581), which ensures good electrical insulation and mechanical resistance. Please note the operating temperature range: flexible from +5°C to +90°C and stationary from –40°C to +90°C (UL AWM up to +105°C, UL MTW up to +90°C, CSA TEW up to +105°C).

The cable is available in white (RAL 9010) and has an outer diameter of approximately 2.5 mm. The minimum bending radius for fixed installation depends on the cable diameter – for cables with a diameter below 8 mm it is 4x the cable diameter, above 8 mm – respectively 5x or 6x the cable diameter. The weight of one meter of cable is approximately 0.0111 kg.

Additionally, the materials used in production do not contain silicone, cadmium or substances hindering painting. The cable has passed tests for vertical flame propagation resistance in accordance with DIN VDE, DIN EN, IEC and UL VW-1 and CSA FT1 standards.
