Universal connection cable for wide application

This brown single-core PVC cable, with a cross-section of 1 mm² and a diameter of approximately 3 mm, is a versatile solution for internal wiring. It meets as many as five standards – DIN VDE, DIN EN, UL and CSA – making it an ideal choice for both professional installers and end customers. Its flexible, stranded construction class 5 ensures easy installation and adaptation to various applications.

Construction and properties

The cable is designed for reliability and durability. The un-tinned, stranded copper core provides good electrical conductivity. PVC insulation type TI3 guarantees resistance to mechanical damage and external factors. Thanks to this, the cable retains its properties over a wide temperature range – from -40°C to +90°C (and in some cases even up to +105°C according to UL and CSA standards). The rated voltage U0/U is 500 V, and the maximum test voltage is 6 kV (depending on the cross-section).

Applications and compliance with standards

The cable is used inside distribution boards, electrical devices and machine tools. Its versatility results from numerous approvals: HAR, UL-AWM, UL-MTW, CSA-AWM and CSA-Equipment-wire. This allows for economical storage of stocks and simplification of the parts list. The cable meets the requirements of DIN VDE 0285-525-2-31/DIN EN 50525-2-31/UL-Std.1063/UL-Style 10269 (Style 1015) and CSA-TEW and CSA-AWM I A/B. Additionally, the materials used in production are silicone and cadmium-free, which is important in many industrial applications. The cable also has CE approval confirming compliance with the LVD 2014/35/EU directive. The minimum bending radius is 4x cable diameter for cables with a diameter ≤ 8 mm.
