Single-core PVC wire – versatile application and compliance with standards

This single-core wire, made of polyvinyl chloride (PVC), is a universal solution for internal wiring in various devices and installations. The wire is designed for a wide range of applications, from distribution boards to machine tools, and its compliance with five standards (DIN VDE, DIN EN, UL, CSA) makes it an ideal choice for both professional installers and end-users. By meeting the requirements of many standards, it simplifies inventory management and reduces costs.

Construction and technical parameters

The wire is characterized by a conductor cross-section of 1 mm², which provides adequate current capacity for many applications. It is made of a multi-strand copper conductor class 5, which guarantees flexibility and facilitates installation. TI3 type PVC insulation provides good protection against mechanical damage and environmental influences. The rated voltage U/U0 is 500 V / 600 V respectively. The approximate outer diameter of the wire is 3 mm. The wire is designed to operate in a temperature range from -40°C to +90°C (flexible up to +90°C and stationary up to +90°C).

Applications and benefits

The wire is primarily used indoors, inside distribution boards and electrical devices. Its versatility results from a wide range of approvals: HAR, UL-AWM, UL-MTW, CSA-AWM and CSA-Equipment-wire. This allows it to be used in different countries and industries. In addition, the materials used in production do not contain silicone, cadmium or substances that hinder painting. The yellow-green color makes it easy to identify the wire as a protective (PE) conductor. The wire complies with IEC 60332-1-2 standard regarding flame propagation resistance.
