Single-core wire with PVC insulation, designed and approved by Underwriters Laboratories (UL) and Canadian Standards Association (CSA). It is a reliable solution for internal wiring, especially in control cabinets, electrical devices – from household appliances to radio and television receivers. It will also work as a connecting wire in machines, inside insulated pipes (also flexible), and as a connection wire for motors and transformers.

Characteristics and application

This wire is approved according to UL AWM Style 1015/MTW and CSA-AWM/TEW standards, which guarantees its compliance with strict safety and quality standards. Its construction based on copper and PVC insulation provides good flexibility and durability. The wire is designed to operate in a temperature range from -30°C to +105°C, making it a universal solution for various working environments. The rated voltage of 600V allows for safe use in many applications.

Construction and properties

The wire is characterized by a conductor cross-section of 0.52 mm² and an outer diameter of approximately 2.7 mm. It is made of copper, and its PVC insulation provides resistance to moisture and protection against short circuits. The copper conductor may be tinned or untinned, in accordance with UL-Std. 758. The PVC insulation meets the requirements of Class 43 and CSA-C22.2 No. 210 UL VW-1 and CSA FT1 standards, which confirms its self-extinguishing and flame-retardant properties (tested by the UL VW-1 method). In addition, the materials used in production are free of silicone, cadmium and substances that interfere with painting. The wire shows resistance to oils, solvents, acids, alkalis and lye - although this is a conditional resistance.
