Single-core halogen-free cable – safety and flexibility of installation
This yellow-green single-core H07Z-K cable with a cross-section of 10 mm² is a reliable solution for electrical installations where fire safety is a priority. Made of stranded copper wire, it is characterized by high flexibility thanks to its multi-wire construction (class 5). This cable is particularly recommended for applications where minimal smoke and toxic gas emissions are required in the event of a fire – its halogen-free insulation meets the standards of DIN VDE 0285-525-3-41 / DIN EN 50525-3-41.
This cable is perfect for installations both on and under plaster, as well as in closed cable ducts. It is compatible with devices, distribution boards and lighting operating at voltages up to 1000V AC or 750V DC to earth. This makes it a versatile element of wiring in many different applications.
Construction and properties
The H07Z-K cable is distinguished by careful workmanship and high-quality materials. The stranded copper wire ensures good electrical conductivity, and the insulation made of cross-linked halogen-free compound type EI5 guarantees safe use. In addition, the cable is characterized by resistance to radiation up to 20 x 10⁶ cJ/kg (up to 80 Mrad) and resistance to ozone according to DIN VDE 0473-811-403, DIN EN 60811-403. The minimum bending radius is ≤ 8mm for cables with a diameter below 8 mm and increases with the cable diameter (see specification).
The cable has a CE certificate confirming compliance with the Low Voltage Directive 2014/35/EU. It is also tested for self-extinguishing and flame retardancy according to DIN VDE 0482-332-1-2, DIN EN 60332-1-2 and IEC 60332-1-2 standards. Conductor resistance complies with DIN VDE 0295 class 5. The operating temperature range is from -40°C to +90°C, and the permissible operating temperature on the conductors is +90°C. The test voltage is 2500V, and the insulation resistance meets the requirements of DIN VDE 0282 part 9 at 90°C.
