Single-core halogen-free cable – safety and reliability of installation
This yellow-green single-core H07Z-K cable with a cross-section of 240 mm² is a solution dedicated to installations where high fire resistance and minimal emission of harmful substances in the event of a fire are a priority. Made of stranded copper, it meets strict safety standards, providing protection for both the installation and users. This cable finds application in various facilities – from public buildings, through industrial production halls, to installations inside devices and switchboards.
Construction and properties
The H07Z-K cable is characterized by a construction designed with safety and durability in mind. Class 5 stranded copper conductor provides flexibility and facilitates installation. Insulation made of halogen-free EI5 mixture minimizes the risk of generating toxic gases during a fire, which is particularly important in places with a high concentration of people or sensitive equipment. Additionally, the materials used in production are silicone and cadmium-free, guaranteeing no interference in painting processes.
This cable is designed to operate in a temperature range from -40°C to +90°C, making it suitable for use in harsh environmental conditions. Insulation resistance meets the requirements of DIN VDE 0282 part 9, and the test voltage is 2500V. The minimum bending radius depends on the cable diameter – for cables with a diameter above 12mm it is 6 x Ø cable. The cable is also resistant to radiation up to 20 x 10⁶ cJ/kg (80 Mrad).
Applications and compliance with standards
The H07Z-K cable is perfect as cabling in devices, switchboards and lighting. It can be used both on the surface, under plaster, and in closed cable ducts. It is intended for operation at a working voltage of up to 1000V AC or 750V DC in relation to earth.
It meets the requirements of standards: DIN VDE 0285-525-3-41 / DIN EN 50525-3-41 and the Low Voltage Directive 2014/35/EU (CE marking). This is a guarantee of quality and compliance with European safety standards.
