Single-core wire 600 V THHN/THWN AWG12 gray PVC+NYLON insulation 63216
This cable, made of copper and PVC insulation with an additional nylon jacket, is a robust solution for a wide range of electrical installations. It is designed for operation at 600V and features a cross-section of 3.32 mm², corresponding to AWG12. Its gray insulation ensures easy identification in cable harnesses.
Construction and properties
The cable construction is based on a single copper strand, meeting ASTM B-3 and ASTM B-8 standards. The polyvinyl chloride (PVC) insulation reinforced with a nylon jacket provides not only protection against mechanical damage but also increases resistance to external factors. The cable is resistant to oils, fuels, water, acids, ozone, alkalis, UV radiation, and abrasion – making it a versatile choice for harsh working conditions. The nylon jacket also improves sliding properties when pulling the cable through pipes or cable ducts.
Application and operating parameters
The THHN/THWN cable is intended for installation in electronic systems, mechanical devices, and control systems. The THHN designation indicates suitability for use in dry and damp locations at temperatures up to 90°C (dry) and 75°C (damp). The minimum bending radius is 8 times the cable diameter (3.6 mm), making it easier to lay in tight spaces. The cable has passed voltage tests (Spark test) according to UL standards – test values depend on the AWG cross-section and range from 7.5 kV to 17.5 kV.
Additionally, it is worth mentioning compliance with the Low Voltage Directive 2014/35/EU (CE marking), which confirms the safety of the product. A version with a yellow-green protective earth wire is also available (indicated by "G" when placing an order).
