Flexible spiral cable PUR-SPIKA – reliability in motion
This orange spiral cable PUR-SPIKA with a cross-section of 3G1.5 is an ideal solution wherever high flexibility and resistance to mechanical damage are required. This cable, made of polyurethane (PUR), works perfectly in dynamic applications where traditional cabling could fail. Its construction allows it to be stretched to 2 meters with an initial length of 500 mm, making it easy to adapt to specific needs.
Construction and application
The PUR-SPIKA cable was designed with demanding working conditions in mind. It uses copper conductors that meet the standards of DIN VDE 0295, BS 6360 and IEC 60228. The core insulation is made of rubber, and the outer jacket made of durable PUR polyurethane provides protection against abrasion, oils and other external factors. A yellow-green protective conductor (available from 3 cores) guarantees safe use.
This cable finds wide application in many industries:
- Machines and equipment
- Power tools
- Construction industry
- Lifts
- Devices in the entertainment industry
- Medical devices
- Measuring instruments
- Revolving doors
Thanks to its flexibility and durability, this cable is particularly recommended for use in mobile devices and where there is continuous movement. Axial versions and spiral lengths up to 5 meters are also available.
Parameters and properties
The PUR-SPIKA cable is characterized by a rated voltage of U/U0 of 750/450 V, respectively. Its operating temperature range is from -25°C to +70°C, which ensures reliable operation even in difficult conditions. The elongation ratio is 1:4, and the final straight sections are 200 mm long in each case. The core cross-section is 1.5 mm². The cable is not flame retardant. Please note that AWG sizes are approximate – the exact cross-section is given in mm².
