The SAFEPLATE series brazed plate heat exchanger is a solution that combines high thermal efficiency with a unique failure protection system. The key design element is the use of double walls in each plate and a special gap in the side surface of the housing. Thanks to this solution, in the event of potential damage (e.g., corrosion or overpressure), the media do not mix. Instead, any potential leak is directed into the gap and becomes visible on the outside of the device, allowing for an immediate response and preventing more serious consequences for the installation. This is particularly important in systems where mixing of fluids (e.g., refrigerant with heating water) could lead to costly repairs or damage to other system components.

Application and Operating Conditions

The device is designed for operation under demanding thermal and pressure conditions, making it a versatile component in many industries. With a maximum flow temperature reaching 230 °C and resistance to a working pressure of up to 30 bar, it will perform not only in standard heating or domestic hot water installations but also in more demanding industrial and HVAC applications. The construction made of stainless steel combined with copper brazing ensures high corrosion resistance and durability under frequent changes in operating parameters.

The optimal shaping of flow channels allows for achieving a high heat transfer coefficient while maintaining low flow resistance. This means that the circulation pump does not have to operate under excessive load, which translates into lower electricity consumption by the entire system. At the same time, the specific shape of the channels hinders the deposition of contaminants, extending the period between required service inspections.

Installation and Technical Characteristics

For installers, the key factor is the ease of integrating the device with existing infrastructure. The heat exchanger features external threaded connections with a nominal diameter of 3/4 inch (20 mm) on both the primary and secondary sides, facilitating the connection of standard installation pipes without the need for additional reducers or adapters. Compact dimensions – height 203 mm and width 81 mm – allow for installation even in tight technical spaces or distribution cabinets where every centimeter counts.

The device is adapted for installation in a dedicated insulation jacket (available as an accessory), which protects against heat loss and condensation of water vapor on the hot surfaces of the housing. The entire unit is made of materials ensuring long-term resistance: stainless steel for the plates and copper as the brazing material ensuring the tightness of connections during the vacuum furnace brazing process. Thanks to the simplicity of assembly and disassembly and the absence of gaskets requiring periodic replacement (the entire unit is brazed), the device offers long-term reliability with minimal time investment for servicing.
