The SAFEPLATE LB31SP-80-1" brazed plate heat exchanger is a device designed for demanding heating and cooling installations, where not only heat exchange efficiency but, above all, operational safety is key. Its design is based on a double-wall system, which provides a significant advantage over standard solutions. Thanks to a special gap in the side surface of the housing, in the event of potential damage to one of the circuits, the media do not mix. Instead, any leakage is immediately visually detectable on the outside of the device, allowing for rapid action and minimizing the risk of serious installation failures.
Application and operating parameters
The device is suitable for circuits requiring operation under high pressure and across a wide temperature range. The maximum flow temperature reaches 230 °C, and the permissible working pressure is 30 bar, making it suitable for industrial applications and modern boiler rooms. Both sides of the exchanger – primary and secondary – have threaded connections with a nominal diameter of 1 inch (25 mm), facilitating integration with existing piping infrastructure. The entire unit is made of stainless steel, ensuring high corrosion resistance and long-term operation even in difficult chemical conditions. It is worth noting that due to the use of steel material and copper brazing, the device is characterized by high mechanical strength and corrosion resistance.
Design facilitating installation and service
The vacuum furnace brazing process guarantees a constant bonding of the plates, eliminating the risk of leakage resulting from improper assembly or installation vibrations. The optimal shaping of the flow channels allows for a high heat exchange coefficient while maintaining low flow resistance. This is important both for the installer, who must ensure the correct hydraulic balance of the system, and for the end user, concerned with low energy consumption by circulation pumps. Consequently, the design also prevents the accumulation of contaminants inside the channels.
The device dimensions are compact: the height is 286 mm and the width is 123 mm, allowing for installation even in tight technical rooms or distribution cabinets. However, small dimensions do not come at the expense of limited efficiency – on the contrary, the device handles large thermal loads. An additional advantage is the possibility of placing the exchanger in dedicated insulation cladding (according to the information "For insulation cladding: yes"), which increases the thermal comfort of the operator and reduces heat loss to the surroundings. Simple installation and ease of disassembly mean that servicing the installation does not require complicated procedures or specialized tools for disconnecting brazed connections (in the case of replacing the entire module).
