This two-pass plate heat exchanger LC110-170-2S is designed for demanding heating and cooling installations where efficient heat transfer between two liquid circuits is critical. Thanks to its copper-brazed construction, the unit achieves high tightness and durability, eliminating the risk of leaks associated with mechanical joints. The vacuum furnace brazing process ensures a permanent bond between the stainless steel plates, resulting in corrosion resistance and the ability to operate at temperatures up to 230 °C at a working pressure of 30 bar.

The optimized flow channel geometry enables a high heat transfer coefficient while maintaining low flow resistance. This is important both for the installer, who must ensure pump efficiency, and for the end user, for whom stable system temperature is paramount. The two-pass design increases the heat transfer surface area, making this model particularly suitable for installations with more demanding operating parameters or where higher flow rates are required with a smaller temperature difference.

Application and Ease of Installation

The unit features universal application in liquid-to-liquid systems. Connections on both sides (primary and secondary) have a nominal diameter of DN 50, facilitating integration with larger industrial or municipal installations. Note the specific connection details:

  • On the primary side, stainless steel flanges (6 pieces) are used, simplifying installation and removal without the need for additional adapters.
  • On the secondary side and as the main connection, external threading is provided, offering flexibility in pipeline connections.

Despite its high thermal load capacity, the heat exchanger maintains relatively compact dimensions (466 mm height and 258 mm width), allowing installation even in spaces with limited room. An additional advantage is the possibility of insulating the unit with thermal insulation, which minimizes heat loss and improves operational safety.

Key Construction Features

Thanks to the use of stainless steel as the primary material and the precise brazing process, the heat exchanger exhibits high resistance to pressure and temperature fluctuations. It does not require regular maintenance related to mechanical seals, reducing operating costs. The construction material is copper-brazed stainless steel, and the unit operates safely at temperatures up to 230 °C and pressures up to 30 bar. The nominal diameter DN 50 is present on both sides of the heat exchange. Connections are realized via a set of six stainless steel flanges on the primary side and external threading on the secondary side. External dimensions are 466 mm in height and 258 mm in width, and the entire unit can be additionally insulated with a special jacket.
