Brazed plate heat exchanger two-pass LC110-190-2S-DN50SS (connections: 6 stainless steel flanges) 0206-1576
High Performance in a Compact Housing
This two-pass plate heat exchanger, made entirely of stainless steel, is designed for demanding liquid-to-liquid heating and cooling installations. Its vacuum-brazed construction with copper ensures complete leak-tightness and joint durability, eliminating the risk of leaks even under significant pressure fluctuations. Thanks to the optimized design of the flow channels, the unit achieves a high heat transfer coefficient while maintaining low flow resistance and preventing the accumulation of contaminants within the system.
Application and Operating Conditions
The unit is ideal for applications requiring high thermal power within limited installation space. It is suitable for operation with a maximum flow temperature of up to 230 °C and withstands a working pressure of up to 30 bar. This thermal and mechanical resistance makes it an ideal choice for high-temperature systems, gas boiler rooms, or industrial installations.
A key structural element is the nominal diameter DN 50 connections on both sides (primary and secondary). External threads are used, facilitating integration with existing piping systems. It is worth noting that the heat exchanger allows for the installation of thermal insulation cladding, which helps reduce heat loss at the connection points.
Benefits for Installation and Operation
The two-pass design (denoted by the symbol 2S) enables higher heat exchange efficiency under more demanding operating parameters compared to standard single-pass versions. Consequently, the unit operates effectively even with smaller temperature differences between the primary and secondary media.
The main advantages of this model include:
- Material: Fully stainless steel construction ensures high corrosion resistance in challenging chemical environments.
- Compactness: Small dimensions (height 466 mm, width 258 mm) combined with high thermal power facilitate installation in tight technical rooms.
- Durability: The brazing process ensures permanent bonding of the plates, eliminating the need for regular tightening of bolts or mechanical gaskets.
- Flexibility: The availability of various connection options for a given heat exchanger size allows the unit to be adapted to the specifics of a particular installation without the need for additional adapters.
Simple installation and disassembly mean that servicing or potential replacement of the unit does not generate excessive labor costs. Due to the absence of mechanical gaskets (replaced by brazing), the risk of failures resulting from their aging is practically zero, translating into long-term reliability of the entire heating or cooling installation. It is important to note the external dimensions – height 466 mm and width 258 mm – which determine the required installation space, and that the unit is ready for connection to DN 50 pipes without additional reductions.
