Helical microbubble separation in HVAC systems
The Zeparo Aero ZA air separator is an advanced solution for removing air from heating, solar, and cooling installations. It utilizes helical microbubble separation technology, which combines different separation principles into one effective concept.
Design and principle of operation
The heart of the separator is a special Helistill insert with spirally arranged vanes. The separation process begins by reducing the flow - large bubbles are directed directly to the upper part of the degasser. Smaller microbubbles adhere to the spiral vanes, where they merge to form larger bubbles in a coalescence process.
An automatic air vent ensures the safe discharge of separated gas to the environment. The special design of the float in a large chamber with limited flow keeps dirt and water away from the precision air vent valve, even at high operating pressures up to 10 bar.
Application and compatibility
The separator is designed for closed systems in heating, solar, and cooling installations. It performs well across a wide range of continuous operating temperatures from -10°C to 110°C and can operate with ethylene or propylene glycol-based antifreeze at concentrations up to 50%.
The horizontal model with an installation length of 635 mm is equipped with PN 16 flange connections compliant with the EN-1092-1 standard. The steel housing in a beryllium color ensures durability and resistance to installation conditions.
Operating parameters and performance
The device operates in the PN 10 pressure class with a maximum operating pressure of 10 bar. The flow range is 93-216 m³/h, allowing for adaptation to various installation sizes. The separator enables cleaning during operation, which significantly facilitates system maintenance.
It is equipped with a drain tap and an automatic air vent ensuring continuous removal of air accumulating behind the float in the upper part of the device.

The separator has been designed in accordance with the pressure directive PED 2014/68/EU, guaranteeing the highest standards of safety and manufacturing quality. The PN 16 flange connections ensure reliable sealing and easy installation in existing systems.
The use of non-aggressive and non-toxic media expands the possibilities for using the separator in various HVAC applications, where effective air removal is crucial for the optimal performance of the entire system.
