Robust enclosure for indoor and outdoor applications

This thermoset STN enclosure, measuring 530x420x250 mm, is a solid solution for protecting and organizing electrical components. Made of glass fiber reinforced polyester (SMC), it provides high mechanical and thermal resistance, making it ideal for demanding working conditions. The enclosure is painted in RAL 7035, giving it an aesthetic appearance and providing additional protection against corrosion.

The STN enclosure is particularly well suited for applications in photovoltaic systems, railways and telecommunications, but will also perform well in many other industries. Its design allows for easy adaptation to specific needs, and the modular construction allows for later expansion. Thanks to the IP44 protection rating, the enclosure is resistant to splashing water and the ingress of small solid objects, allowing it to be used both indoors and outdoors.

Construction and mounting

The enclosure has been designed with easy mounting in mind. Before connecting to the foundation, the bottom of the enclosure should be unscrewed to ensure proper tightening of the elements. The lock, hinges and roof angles are included – only the lock insert, which can be purchased separately, is missing. The durable SMC material guarantees structural stability and long-term reliability.

Application and standards

Thermoset STN enclosures comply with DIN 14598 and EU guidelines, confirming their high quality and safety of use. They can be used in various industrial applications where protection against external factors and mechanical damage is required. The SMC material is resistant to temperatures up to 960°C and has a flammability class of V0, increasing safety in the event of a fire.
