Non-halogenated electrical conduit pipes – safety and cable protection

Corrugated non-halogenated pipes, such as this one with a diameter of 10 mm, are a key element of every electrical installation where safety and cable protection are a priority. Made of modified polyamide 6 (PA6) nylon, they provide not only mechanical cable protection but also minimize risk in case of fire. Thanks to their self-extinguishing properties and the absence of halogens in their composition, they limit the emission of toxic gases during combustion, which is particularly important in places with increased fire safety requirements.

Construction and properties

The pipe is characterized by flexibility, which makes it easier to route in complex installations. Compressive strength at the level of 320 N guarantees resistance to mechanical damage during installation and operation. A wide range of operating temperatures from -25°C to +120°C (and briefly up to +180°C) allows its use in various environmental conditions. The black color of the pipe provides additional protection against UV radiation, although the manufacturer does not recommend using it outdoors. It is worth remembering that the material is hygroscopic and can absorb moisture, which should be taken into account during storage and installation.

Applications and benefits

These pipes are widely used in industrial installations, public buildings and anywhere where high resistance to external conditions and fire safety are required. They are ideal for protecting cables in places exposed to high temperatures and intense mechanical work. Thanks to the low smoke density during combustion and the low toxicity of the fumes released, they are a safe choice for human health and the environment. Additionally, the smooth inner surface makes it easier to pull cables through long sections of pipe. The way the coil is packaged prevents it from tangling after use – this is a small detail that makes the work easier for installers.
