Corrugated halogen-free conduit with pull cord – protection and flexibility of installation
Halogen-free corrugated conduit, also known as a halogen-free flexible conduit, is a reliable solution for routing and protecting electrical cables. Made of polypropylene (PP), it is characterized by high resistance to mechanical and chemical damage, as well as self-extinguishing properties. The version with a pull cord – a steel wire – facilitates cable pulling, especially over longer distances. The product is available in RAL 7035 (grey) and is ideal for industrial installations and public buildings where increased fire protection and minimal emission of toxic substances during combustion are required.
Safety and material properties
The use of halogen-free material is a key feature of this conduit. This means that in the event of a fire, it does not release harmful gases, increasing the safety of users and facilitating evacuation. Additionally, the conduit has a HB flammability rating (UL94), and higher fire resistance classes (V-0, V-1, V-2 UL94 or B-1, B-2 DIN 4102) can be obtained on request. The material is resistant to many chemical compounds, guaranteeing long-term operation even in harsh environmental conditions. The conduit retains its properties over a wide temperature range – from -25°C to +110°C.
Application and installation
The conduit is intended for laying electrical cables in internal installations, especially where strict fire protection standards apply. It is ideal for industrial applications exposed to high temperatures and mechanical loads. The flexible design makes installation easier in places with complex geometry. The pull cord (steel wire) significantly simplifies cable pulling over long distances. However, it is not recommended for outdoor use due to potential UV radiation exposure. The conduit's compressive strength is 320N, providing adequate protection against mechanical damage.
