Microducts for fiber optic network construction

FiberGuard FGG are single-layer microducts designed to guide and protect fiber optic cables during network construction and operation. The internal ribbed surface minimizes friction, making cable pulling easier and reducing the risk of damage. The 10x14 mm diameter tube, supplied in 200 meter lengths on a wooden drum, is ideal for both underground and above-ground installations.

Construction and properties

The microduct is made of polyethylene (PE) with medium density, which ensures its high tensile strength, resistance to most chemicals, and good dielectric properties. This material is also characterized by resistance to high temperatures and aging processes, which guarantees long-term reliability and the possibility of replacing fiber optic cables in the future. The tube is flexible and bendable, making it easy to install in difficult conditions. Additionally, it has a meter marking, which facilitates precise unwinding and cutting of the tube during installation.

Application and compatibility

FiberGuard FGG finds application in a wide range of fiber optic installations – from city networks to internal installations. The possibility of surface mounting and compatibility with flush-mounted (screed) and underground installations make it a universal solution for professionals. The tube is suitable for use in empty walls and can be prefabricated into bundles for more complex projects. fiber-line accessories are also available, constituting a plug-in connection system ensuring reliable data transmission without interference. It should be remembered that the product is flammable, so caution should be exercised during installation and operation.
