FiberGuard FGG-P is a microduct designed for the construction and protection of fiber optic networks. The ribbed inner surface minimizes friction during cable pulling, facilitating installation and future upgrades. The product is particularly recommended where ease of fiber optic cable replacement is important, even after a long period of network operation. Supplied on wooden drums, it can be prefabricated into bundles, accelerating the installation process. Also available with a pilot, making it easier to pull cables over longer distances.

Construction and properties

The microduct is made of polyethylene (PE) with medium density, which ensures good tensile strength, resistance to temperatures ranging from -25°C to 90°C and to most chemicals. The material also has good dielectric properties. The duct design allows for installation both underground and indoors – in empty walls and under floors. Additionally, it is designed for surface mounting. An important aspect is the absence of halogen in the material composition, which increases safety in the event of a fire.
