FiberGuard FGG is a microduct designed for guiding and protecting fiber optic cables during the construction and modernization of networks. The 10x14 mm diameter tube, available in orange, is supplied in 2000 meter lengths on a wooden drum. Its ribbed inner surface minimizes friction, making cable pulling easier and reducing the risk of damage. This is an ideal solution for both professional installers and end customers who want to protect their fiber optic installation.

Construction and properties

The microduct is made of medium-density polyethylene (PE), which provides high tensile strength and resistance to most chemicals and high temperatures (operating range from -25°C to 90°C). This material also has good dielectric properties. Despite lacking flame-retardant properties, the tube fulfills its function in protecting cables. It is flexible and bendable, making it easy to install in various conditions – both underground, on empty walls, and in screeds. Surface mounting capability further increases the range of applications.

Application and compatibility

FiberGuard FGG finds application in a wide range of fiber optic installations. Thanks to the meter markings on the tube, precise measurements and cutting are extremely simple. The product is compatible with fiber-line accessories – a plug-in connection system providing reliable data transmission without interference. These accessories are made of durable plastics with a two-stage lock, guaranteeing connection stability. The tube is suitable for underground and sub-surface installations (screed), as well as for use in empty walls. Additionally, the lack of an internal slip coating does not hinder effective cable routing thanks to the ribbed inner structure.
