Microduct for guiding and protecting optical fibers FGG corrugated orange 8x12 2000m orange W4560
Microducts for fiber optic network construction
This product is a microduct designed for guiding and protecting fiber optic cables, ideal for both underground and surface installations. Made of polyethylene (PE) with a diameter of 8x12 mm, it provides reliable protection of fiber optic cables against mechanical damage and weather conditions. The ribbed inner surface minimizes friction during cable blowing, making installation work easier and faster. Available on a 2000-meter drum, making it an economical solution for larger projects.
Construction and properties
The FiberGuard FGG microduct is characterized by flexibility and bendability, making it easy to lay even in difficult terrain conditions. Made of high-density polyethylene (HDPE), it is resistant to stretching, high temperatures and most chemicals. Additionally, it is halogen-free, which increases safety in the event of a fire. Marking every meter of the pipe makes it easier to accurately measure the required length during installation. Designed for use in hollow walls and for surface installations (screed).
Application and benefits
The FGG microduct is widely used in the construction of fiber optic micro-trenching networks, both in new installations and in the modernization of existing networks. Its ribbed inner surface significantly reduces friction during fiber optic cable blowing – this translates into saving time and labor costs. Thanks to high-quality materials and resistance to aging processes, the microduct provides long-term protection of fiber optic cables, enabling easy replacement of fibers even after many years of network operation. The product is suitable for operation in a temperature range from -25°C to 90°C.
