The halogen-free power cable N2XH-J 4x2,5 RE 1kV B2ca is a professional installation solution designed for facilities with a high concentration of people and valuable property. Thanks to its cross-linked polyethylene insulation and flame-retardant halogen-free plastic sheath, the cable ensures limited emission of smoke and corrosive gases during combustion, making it an ideal choice for locations requiring maximum safety.

Construction and materials ensuring fire safety

The cable utilizes class 1 solid copper cores with a cross-section of 2,5 mm² each, guaranteeing optimal electrical conductivity while maintaining installation flexibility. The core insulation made of polyolefin (cross-linked polyethylene) and the outer sheath made of the same material ensure full halogen-free compliance with IEC 60754-1 and IEC 60754-2 standards.

The construction meets the highest requirements of the B2ca fire reaction class, confirming its resistance to flame spread. Additionally, the cable is characterized by low smoke emission according to IEC 61034-2 and a smoke emission class of s1b, which minimizes the risk of poisoning by combustion products in fire conditions.

Operating parameters and installation compatibility

The cable operates in a wide temperature range from -40°C to 70°C after installation (during installation: -5°C to 70°C), and the maximum core temperature can reach 90°C. The approximate outer diameter is 11,9 mm, and the minimum allowable bending radius in fixed installations is 142,8 mm.

The cable is rated for nominal voltages of U=1kV and U0=0,6kV. The core resistance at 20°C is 7,41 Ohm/km, and the cable weight is approximately 236 kg/km.

Applications and installation recommendations

The product is particularly recommended for facilities such as hotels, airports, metros, tunnels, hospitals, shopping complexes, banks, as well as theaters and cinemas. It can be laid in indoor rooms on plaster and under plaster, in walls, and in masonry ceilings. It is also suitable for installation in the air or directly in concrete.

Important: The cable is not suitable for installation outside buildings or directly in the ground. In the case of outdoor installation, mounting in cable ducts or protective conduits is necessary. All recommendations must be followed in accordance with the DIN VDE 0276-604 standard.
